You might expect Sam Worthington to splash out on a flashy new motor now he’s a global star. But no, the down to earth actor has opted for a simple bicycle to get around LA instead.
The Aussie hunk reveals, "My mate bought a bicycle for me because he said it's easier to get around Los Angeles, especially the way I drive.
"So I ride around like the witch in the Wizard of Oz with a basket on the front. It's pretty funny."
And although the ‘Avatar’ star has no problem fighting aliens and dragon-like flying creatures, he hasn’t quite mastered his new mode of transport.
“I’m not a very good bicycle rider.
“I fall off. I don’t recommend everybody does it.”
As well as suffering scrapes while out and about on the road, the former brickie says he’s constantly getting injured on set.
He reveals, "All I seem to get is running and yelling and falling over and getting bashed up. You name it, I've done it and have the scars to prove it. For Clash of the Titans I had to learn to use a sword and shield which I thought would be easy - then I got covered in cuts and realised it's a lot harder than that."
