It’s literally impossible not to go nuts when one of his tracks blasts out in a club, in the car – or in fact, wherever you are!

And that’s just one of the reasons why the world can’t get enough of multi-talented beats master David Guetta!

Now, after dropping hit after hit, including ‘When Love Takes Over,’ ‘Sexy Bitch’ and ‘Sweat,’ the Grammy-Award winning Frenchman is back with his fifth studio album ‘Nothing But The Beat.’

Currently riding high at the top of the ARIA album charts, the record sees the King of collabs team up with the likes of Usher, Sia, Timbaland and many more.

Down Under for a whirlwind promo tour this month, MTV caught up with the dance-floor legend to talk ‘2011 MTV EMA,’ his “emotional” experience with Usher, and his Aussie luck…

MTV Australia: Welcome to Oz David! So firstly, you’re up for ‘Best Male’ at next month's ‘2011 MTV EMA’s’ against Kanye, Eminem, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars – who would you vote for besides yourself?

David Guetta:
That would be difficult! I would say between Kanye, because I’m a huge fan, and Bruno Mars. That’s difficult to choose because they are both amazing I think. I mean all of the artists that have been nominated are amazing, but those two I am personally a fan.

MTV Australia: You’ve experimented with different music genres so far – is it important for you to keep your fans guessing?

David Guetta:
First I was only making dance beats, then I made electro, but also with a chorus. Now I want to make real songs. But at the same time, because I want to surprise people I came up with an electronic record. And yes, also use the success I have on the radio to maybe make people who know me on the pop level to discover where I am coming from and what my culture is about. That’s important for me.

MTV Australia: Tell us about your new single ‘Without You’ with Usher…

David Guetta:
This record doesn’t sound like my usual David Guetta stuff. And it doesn’t sound like your usual Usher record either. I just think it’s a really unique record and I’m really proud of it.

MTV Australia: And what was he like to work with?

David Guetta:
Well, working with Usher was an incredible experience. He really took the song to the next level. He brought so much emotion. I was actually really impressed in the studio with him. I was like, ‘Wow! I understand you now.’ I am happy too because I would say that it took him a little bit out of his comfort zone, vocally. It’s not the kind of song that he would normally sing, or usually perform on, and I think it makes it really, really special because we have been wanting to work together for a long time now.

MTV Australia: You also recently teamed up with Sia for your track ‘Titanium,’ how was that?

David Guetta:
Sia is so amazing. I really want to work with her again, she is incredible. And that record is a genuine hit coming from the people, without having a video, without having any marketing from the record company. People really chose that record you know, and I love this, this is giving me a lot of hope.

MTV Australia: You’ve worked with a few Aussie acts now…

David Guetta:
I’ve worked twice with Australian artists. Once was with the Nervo sisters when they wrote (with Kelly Roland) ‘When Love Takes Over’… score! The second time, Sia. So I think you guys are bringing me luck!

Make sure you get your hands on the uber producer’s fierce fifth album ‘Nothing But The Beat’ out now!
