Yep it's official! Cracking a bottle of booze over someone's head will land you in jail, and don't femme rapper Da Brat know it!

The controversial and evidently irate rapper has proved her name is no thoughtless moniker, and in exchange for smashing a bottle of rum over some poor waitress's head, she has earned herself three years in the clinger, seven years probation and 200 hours of community service. Hope the rum was worth it!

According to reports, the rapper pleaded to her weeping family as she was led out of the courtroom, saying: "I love y'all."

But evidently, Da Brat doesn't love the waitress she hit at an Atlanta club last year, who had to be hospitalised after the incident and suffered permanent facial scarring.

The rapper was previously convicted in 2000 for misdemeanor reckless conduct.

Not cool Da Brat! Especially if the bottle was full; as no one should have to endure the smell of rum for any length of time.
