After a gut-wrenching wait, salivating reality fans have finally got the news our favourite reality shows ’The City’ and ‘The Hills’ have been given the green light to continue for another season!
The Hills, which recently welcomed uber-bitch Kristen Cavalleri to the cast, has confirmed that it will be recording a seventh season, and thanks to Kristen and Audrina continually cat-spatting over Justin Bobby, Lo’s dalliances with the wrong side of the law and the Pratt’s baby dramas, there’s sure to be no lack of drama!
Meanwhile Whitney's own spin-off reality show ‘The City’, has also been picked up for another season and will focus even more on the launch of her fashion line ‘Whitney Eve’.
"They're chronicling the whole process from starting to design, to the fashion show at Bryant Park [and] everyone's back in action," she said.
But while casts of both shows are celebrating another year of delectable drama, one person not celebrating is former Hills member Jason Whaler, otherwise known as Lauren Conrad's one-time squeeze.
"I can't believe it got picked up for a second season," Wahler told E! News of ‘The City’. "I thought it was a terrible show."
"I like Whitney, but they are trying to drag her show out too much," Wahler winged. "I didn't know that many people who were watching it to begin with, so for it to be renewed is shocking."
Could it be that all of Jas’ smack talk about ‘The City’, (which BTW has been a huge hit with viewers), may stem from the fact his own reality show has yet to be picked up?
Last April, Jas boasted to Ryan Seacrest that he was shopping his own reality show ‘22 and Taken’ which follows the lead up to his wedding to Katja Decker-Sadowski. “We'd like to go with MTV because of the fan-base we have there," said Wahler at the time. "But it's still being shopped. There's a lot of people interested. We're just getting at the very end of what we need to do. We'll be in post-production in the next month I'm hoping."
Nine months later, Wahler is still "working on developing" the series.
Hmmm, sorry to break it to you Jas, but Heidi and Spencer have already got the reality-wedding thing covered. Bitter much?
Don’t forget to tune-in to all new episodes of The City, tonight (December 15) @ 9.30pm (AEDT) only on MTV.
