Joe Jonas’ breakup with actress girlfriend Camilla Belle is now a matter of public record, with the split now confirmed by Belle’s rep.
"It's true, they have broken up… There is no third party involved, and they care deeply about each other and will remain friends”, her rep told MTV news.
No official word from the Jonas camp yet, though.
Fans told perezhilton.com that Joe broke into tears during more than one song at their concert a week before the split was made public, symbolically removing a necklace given to him by Camilla in front of everyone in the packed-out venue.
Joe also surprised fans at a recent gig, altering the lyrics from ‘Much Better’ to what could be perceived as a slight against his now ex-girlfriend.
Videos posted online by fans show Joe changing the line ‘Get a rep for breakin’ hearts / now I’m done with superstars’, to ‘get a rep for breakin’ hearts / now I’m done with movie stars’.
Ouch!
Camilla seems to be doing okay though, with rumours surfacing that she’s been spending time with Spanish tennis star Fernando Verdasco. She also raised a few eyebrows late last year when she was seen out and about with ’Twilight’ eye-candy, Robert Pattinson.
Joe and Camilla met when she starred in the video for the Jonas Brothers’ song, ‘Lovebug’. At the time, Joe was linked to country music cutie, Taylor Swift. Following their split, she began to talk about her suspicions that Camilla played a part in their relationship’s collapse.
