Get yer earplugs ready, because P Diddy is adding ‘singer’ to his list of credits, and it’s all thanks to Leona Lewis.
The rapper and entrepreneur has admitted he’s been taking singing lessons in secret, to prepare for his new group Diddy-Dirty Money which features singers Kalenna Harper and former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard.
We first heard the power of his pipes on the band’s single ‘Angels’ back in 2009, but Diddy being the perfectionist he is, has admitted that he wanted his vocals to sound faultless.
“I’m taking singing lessons so I sound Ok on tour. I adore Leona’s voice. To sing like her would be amazing,” the 39-year-old producer said.
Diddy, if you sounded like Leona that woudl be weird...
He added, "On this new album there's a love story and in this love story I'm expressing myself in different ways, and sometimes I'm singing. I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to have myself out there. I was going to take the proper lessons."
50 Cent, who is currently feuding with the rapper over some untoward comments, is sure to have a field day with this one!
Diddy-Dirty Money is set to debut their album ‘Last Train to Paris’, in September.
