'MTV Snow Jam 2010' will steam up your screens on MTV Australia, September 5 @ 4pm (AEST).
With a record 70cm of snow pounding down on the famous slopes of Thredbo - we knew there was only one Aussie act who could get even the most ice-struck of crowds shaking their stuff at ‘MTV Snow Jam 2010!’
Yep, oozing tonnes of fun, energy and an infectious poptastic sound - Operator Please took to the stage amongst the snow and frosty temperatures to wow and warm up hundreds of spectators at Australia’s hottest winter festival!
The lovable teens, who recently wrapped up their Aussie tour, blasted out a range of hits from their smash second album ‘Gloves,’including ‘Leave It Alone,’ ‘Just Kiss’ and ‘Ping Pong.’
Next the fab fivesome gave their unique spin to Salt-N-Pepa’s dance classic ‘Push it’ and Destiny’s Child’s hit ‘Lose My Breath.’
Talking to MTV backstage after their set, front woman Amandah Wilkinson told us,
“It was so cool playing on a mountain and having the snow come down. It was definitely cold, but it was really fun.”
Meanwhile bassist Ashley McConnell said he couldn’t believe how many fans had braved the sub zero weather to be there.
He added, “The crowd were really cool. They were out in the freezing cold, but they looked like they were having a really good time!”
And it wasn’t just the audience throwing their hands in the air for the youngsters - but our very own MTV VJ Erin McNaught, who’s a self-confessed fan of the group.
Sneaking a peak at their set while hosting the bash, alongside MTV’s Ruby Rose, she gushed, “I have a lot of admiration and respect for Operator Please.
“Going from so young, to be as successful as they are without any of those internal sort of band combustions, is amazing.”
Meanwhile, Erin wasn’t the only beauty cheering OP on from the side of the stage.
April Rose Pengilly, the model daughter of INXS legend Kirk Pengilly, was also spied supporting her new boyfriend - and drummer for the band - Tim Commandeur, with a huge grin on her face!
