- Heidi And Lauren To Reconcile?

Is one of the most legendary TV cat spats of all time about to come to an end?

According to reports, Lauren and Heidi look like they're on the path to friendship.  These two just can't keep any distance between them, but then again, why would they? The drama that has surrounded the Lauren VS Speidi saga and the resulting smack talk has blown The Hills ratings into the stratosphere and made for tantalising, strangely compelling viewing. 

Season three rounded up last night, and this morning the internet was alight with whispers that Lauren and Heidi might not be far from a reunion.  And with help from meddling Pratt and Montage siblings, former BFF Heidi and Lauren just might find their long lost friend mojo. 

Previously on The Hills, Heidi's sister Holly was told in no uncertain terms by Spenser Pratt that lunch with Lauren wasn't happening while she was living under his roof. 

But to the delight of viewers, Prattster's ultimatum fell on deaf ears; and evidently, the lunch brought back a lot of mixed feeling for Lauren and Heidi, who were once inseparable.  Yes, as it turns out, the animosity both girls have been conveying toward each other since season two has been a facade; they miss each other a lot more than they are letting on.  

'You always miss a best friend,' Lauren sighed as she reminisced with the younger Pratt, Stephanie.  By all accounts, we must prepare ourselves for a tear-jerking season four as the sisters scheme to get the girls to fess-up to their true feelings about each other. 

As buzz.net reported, Heidi said, 'Obviously I miss her, and she was my best friend for a really long time. Hopefully one day we will be able to work through this and move on and patch some things up.'

So while the girls mutual trash talk has taken a decidedly nicer tone and hopes of a reconciliation surface, it looks like a major thread in The Hills drama is about to be pulled.  Fear not, there's plenty of other drama brewing sure to keep us locked to our screens. 

Will Lauren and Brody ever hook up? Will Audriana drop Justin Bobby and keep living with the girls? Will Spenser always be a Pratt? And what will Heidi's reaction be when her mum tells him to shove it?

Season four is heading down under soon, and we wait with baited breath.
