Her fans were left devastated when she postponed her Melbourne dates, but Janet Jackson is back in the country and ready to finish what she started!

The pop diva, who postponed three Melbourne shows last week so she could support her family during the trial of Conrad Murray over the drug related death of her brother Michael, arrived at the Gold Coast yesterday, reports the dailytelegraph.com.au.

Tonight, she will wow fans with her ‘Number Ones: Up Close and Personal World Tour’ at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre – her only Queensland show.

It’s a relief for organizers and fans, as many industry folk lamented Janet could pull out of all of her dates as a result of the Murray trial.

Instead of her three scheduled shows due to take place in Melbourne last week, the Grammy Award winner will take to the stage for a one-off performance at the city’s Rod Laver Arena on November 3, and will appear at the Opera House on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday nights. She has already played Perth and Adelaide.

"When I planned these shows, the schedule in California was completely different,” she said in a statement on her official website on October 25. “After talking with my family last night, I decided we must be together right now.”

"I want to thank my fans in Australia for their love, support and understanding," she added.

“This saddens me in so many ways.”
