He’s made his name starring in one of the biggest action movies of all time, but ‘Avatar's' star Sam Worthington may be giving up his adventure roles for good.
The Aussie hunk, who plays Perseus in new movie ‘Clash of the Titans’ could be sticking to more light-hearted roles from now on, after his girlfriend Natalie Mark begged him to stop playing “psychos.”
He confessed to Skip, “My girlfriend keeps telling me I should do a comedy for a change, or something romantic, not just those psycho roles. Perseus is an angry teenager on a personal vendetta."
And it looks like she’ll get her wish. The actor, who’s been rumoured to play the next James Bond, is starring in new rom-com ‘Last Night’ alongside Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes.
And although it’s a change of pace for Sam, he insists viewers will still be treated to plenty of action.
“Last Night - that's full on action. Me and a couple of gorgeous girls, of course it is," he jokes.
But despite appearing alongside two of the world’s most beautiful women, the former brickie isn’t a fan of being a celebrity.
"I lead a normal life, I just have an extraordinary job. You don't get a job in the film industry to become famous. If you want to become famous you should go on 'Big Brother' or take part in a casting show.”
