And judging by the oddball singer’s recent backstage demands he could really teach Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez a thing or two when it comes to being a true pop diva!
According to The Sun, the US superstar delivered quite the list of requests for his appearance at the UK’s Hop Farm Music Festival.
First up, the high-pitched superstar reportedly insisted a limo pick him up and take him a mere 25 metres from his dressing room to the stage for his set.
Next, he allegedly delivered such specific standards for his changing area, that crew members were forced to rebuild the area THREE times in order to achieve his ideal dimensions.
And last, but by no means least, the wacky hitmaker is said to have requested that his perfected backstage area be filled with matching purple furniture, including wall hangings!
But, once up on stage, he put his diva demands behind him and truly pulled out all the stops for his impressive two-and-a-half hour set.
As well as belting out classics including ‘Kiss,’ ‘Controversy,’ and ‘Purple Rain,’ Prince also treated crowds to a rendition of Michael Jackson’s ‘Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough.’
