It worked for Jay-Z and Kanye when they recorded tracks for their 2011 album ‘Watch The Throne’ in Sydney – and now, could DJ David Guetta be the latest muso to draw on a little Aussie inspiration?

The French hitmaker, who’s already had huge success in his work with Australian acts Nervo and Sia Furler, revealed to MTV Australia this week that he’s found his time Down Under to be “really inspiring.”

“I am making new music, always!” said Guetta.

“Actually yesterday was a great, great day, because I’m here in Sydney and I have this amazing view, and I stayed in my room making music all day watching that beautiful harbour.

“It was really inspiring. I’m going to do the exact same thing after I finish this interview!”

And with his ‘Turn Me On’ collaborator, rap princess Nicki Minaj, heading to our shores later this month, did David have any insights on what fans can expect from her live shows?

“I never know what to expect from her!” he joked.
