MTV.com.au Will Be Offering Exclusive Live Coverage Of Michael Jackson’s Public Memorial Service - From 2:00AM (AEST) Wednesday July 8.

Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, and John Mayer will be among those performing at Michael Jackson’s public memorial service, held at the Los Angeles' Staples Centre tomorrow.

On Monday representatives for Jackson's family released a star-studded list of participants including; Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Martin Luther King III, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Brooke Shields, Usher and Stevie Wonder.

According to perezhilton.com, the Jackson family are still at odds over how best to pay tribute to the King of Pop. MJ's father Joe and the Jackson brothers, are set on an extravagant procession in the vein of James Brown and Princess Diana’s funerals. While the deeply religious Katherine is pushing for a closed casket, with a single sequined glove and black fedora placed on the coffin.

Former Jackson tour manager Frank DiLeo commented: "'She (Katherine) is the one who is pushing for a spiritual element to the funeral. If the brothers had their way, it would be the Jackson Five’s greatest performance. Or rather, the Jackson Four’s greatest performance."

Close to a million people are anticipated in downtown LA tomorrow, even though only 17,500 tickets to the service are being made available to the public. LAPD and city officials are urging fans to watch the memorial from home.

Meanwhile, tickets to MJ’s memorial service are being scalped for anywhere between $US1000 and $US100 000 on eBay in the US. On the other end of the spectrum, some ticket recipient unable to attend, simply wanted to give away their tickets for free - One post read "to only true fans."
