Fans are concerned for Robbie William’s health after he made his live TV comeback on UK talent show, ’The X Factor’ at the weekend.

It was the 35-year-old’s first live performance in three years and the first since his well-publicised battle with prescription drug addiction.

Robbie sang his new single ’Bodies’ but many commented that he looked unusually wide-eyed, sweaty and giddy as he bounced around the stage.

The singer punctured his performance with odd asides to the studio audience.

Viewers were also left bemused by Robbie’s post-performance interview.

Speaking to show host Dermot O’Leary, the singer appeared agitated and over-excitable and persisted in throwing his arms around the host saying: “I loved it! I loved it!”

The X Factor website forum was flooded with comments after the show.

One fan wrote: “Is it me or did Robbie seem to be 'buzzing' whilst chatting away to dermot???? I'm not sure he was buzzing from the performance or the crowd reaction... i think he might have been on those prescription drugs he told everyone about in the papers!!!”

However, another fan countered: “Come on guys, robbie isn't on anything, its just the kind of performer he is. He is so excited and full of adrenaline because of how the crowd reacted. He is awesome!!!”

Robbie will perform at the ARIA Awards in Sydney on November 26.
