The newly single popstar, who cancelled her appearance at the LA bash following her split from hubby Russell Brand, scooped up a massive FIVE trophies!
After bagging gongs for 'Favourite Female Artist', 'Favourite Music Video', 'Favourite Tour Headliner,' 'Favourite Song of the Year' for 'E.T.' and as 'Favourite TV Guest Star' for her role in ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ the singer thanked her loyal fans on Twitter.
"THANK U to every1 who voted for me for the @peopleschoice tonight! We won so many! Now I need to get more books 2 successfully display them! (sic)" she wrote.
Also celebrating on the night were the ‘Harry Potter’ crew, who took home four awards, including ‘Favourite Movie’ for their final flick ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.’
Meanwhile, rising screen hottie Emma Stone and heartthrob Johnny Depp picked up two prizes each, and tween pop princess Demi Lovato was named ‘Favourite Pop Artist.’
