Ke$ha is following in the footsteps of stars including Adam Lambert and Chelsea Handler to help tackle gay bullying.
The wacky songstress has dedicated her new track ‘We R Who We R’ to the tragic teenagers who recently committed suicide in America.
Addressing the issue - which has hit headlines worldwide following the deaths of several gay youngsters, allegedly tormented for their sexual preference - the hitmaker hopes her song will become an “anthem” for anyone feeling alienated.
In an interview with Rolling Stone she said,
“Hopefully it will be an anthem for weirdos - for real people. I was really affected by the suicides that have been happening, having been subject to very public hatred (myself). I have absolutely no idea how these kids felt. What I'm going through is nothing compared to what they had to go through.
"Just know things do get better and you need to celebrate who you are. Every weird thing about you is beautiful and makes life interesting. Hopefully the song really captures that emotion of celebrating who you are."
The new release will feature on her brand new animal ‘Cannibal,’ which will hit the shelves on November 22.
