International rock act The Killers are bringing their Las Vegas-style rock spectacle to Sydney in February! The glam-rockers, who will be in town to headline Good Vibrations Festival, will play a one-off gig at the intimate Enmore Theatre on Friday February 12 for an all ages crowd.

The last time The Killers were in Australia was to play V Festival and the Vodafone MTV Australia Awardsin 2009.

In other Killers’ news, the synth rockers were recently forced to cancel their Asian tour, “due to unforeseen circumstances involving a serious illness of a close family member.''

“The band deeply apologizes to their fans and hopes to reschedule their shows in these cities soon, we hope you understand and respect our privacy at this difficult time,” the band wrote on their website.

The grizzly rockers also announced they would also be taking a break after their run of Australian shows this February to “spend more time with their families.” The announcement spawned whispers of a split; a rumour the band have since denied.

Guitarist Dave Keuning broke the news, saying:

"I'm not sure if people are aware of it but this is probably our last shows for a while. Unless some surprise thing comes up but most likely these are our last shows for a while. We're having a break."

Since emerging in 2004 with their mix of synths and alt rock and Las Vegas act has conquered the world, and have since gained a rep for being one of the hottest international rock acts.

The Killers play Enmore Theatre on Friday February 12. Tickets on sale Wednesday 3 February 9am through www.ticketek.com.au.
