Could Travie McCoy be Katy Perry’s real Gym Class Hero after all?
According to Heat Magazine, the pop princess turned to her former beau over her marriage problems with Russell Brand.
“She’s in touch with Travie,” a source told Heat Magazine.
“They'd often speak at strange times of the night because they travel a lot.
“It's fair to say that she opened up to him about how hard her marriage had become. Travie never really 'got' Russell or their marriage.”
And while the former lovebirds, who dated for two years, may be just good “friends” - their close relationship reportedly “annoyed” funnyman Russ.
“Katy is friends with all her exes,” added the source. “But particularly Travie and this did annoy Russell.”
Meanwhile, the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ hitmaker has cancelled her first post-divorce public appearance.
The busty brunette was due to attend the ‘2012 People’s Choice Awards’ in LA this week, but has since pulled out.
Announcing the news on Twitter, the singer, who’s up for a mighty seven gongs, wrote,
"Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards. I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS."
