’Sweet About Me’ songstress Gabriella Cilmi is set to record a track on the new INXS album.

The talented teen wasn’t even born when the rockers first formed but that won’t stop her putting her pop-rock stamp on the project.

It is not yet known which track Gabs will be singing on, but watch this space.

It has also been confirmed that Eskimo Joe singer Kav Temperley has signed up to appear on the disc.

The hush-hush album will contain re-recordings of the band’s classic tunes with different vocalists and is being produced by Rogue Traders’ James Ash. The band have been without a frontman since the departure of Canadian singer JD Fortune in 2006.

So far, US singer Rob Thomas has re-recorded ’Original Sin’ and ’Never Tear Us Apart’ while The Killers' frontman Brandon Flowers has given ’Beautiful Girl’ his special treatment.

A source told The Daily Telegraph: "The band are not in a hurry to get it out there and are just taking their time.”
