The singer was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon at her London home after medics responded to an emergency call and found her already lifeless. Her death has so far been classified as "unexplained."
According to the Daily Mail, the troubled singer, who's suffered a longtime battle with drink and drugs, was found dead at her London home last night.
A spokesman for the 'Back To Black' star's U.S. record label told the Daily Mail,
"We are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of such a gifted musician, artist and performer.
"Our prayers go out to Amy's family, friends and fans at this difficult time."
And while RadarOnline claims an autopsy is due to take place within the next 24 hours, Police say the cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police added to the Daily Mail,
"I would like to reremphaise that no post-mortem has yet taken place and it would be inapproporaite to speculate on the cause of death."
Our thoughts and hearts go out to Amy's family.
