Adrienne Bailon Of The Cheetah Girls A Nudie Rudie

Oh dear.  Disney has not had a good run with what are meant to be holier-than-thou teen stars in 2008!  Adrienne Bailon of the Cheetah Girls is the latest teen star in a growing list to be embroiled in a nudie rudie pic scandal.  

The singer, who's currently dating Robert Kardashian, first took the photos as an anniversary present for her reality star boyfriend, but they were flogged when her laptop was stolen off her luggage cart at JFK airport. 

TMZ reports that that she filed a report with the Port Authority and later her record label received an anonymous call from a man who demanded $1000 for the computer. A meeting was then scheduled with an anonymous male, who returned the laptop in exchange for the money.  It wasn't until later that Adrienne realised a few things were missing - namely several semi-nude photographs. And now the pics, which show the star posing provocatively with naught but a lacy bar, are plastered all over the net. 

Adrienne's spokesperson Jonathan Jaxson issued this statement to TMZ:

"The photos that have surfaced of Adrienne Bailon were stolen from her laptop over a week ago at an airport in NY and sent to several media outlets. These photos were taken in private. Adrienne will be pursuing legal action against the person or person's sending these private photos out.

Adrienne is deeply sorry for any pain this may have caused to her fans."

The leaked photos have again reared the debate over how badly pic scandals actually 'tarnish' a young stars reputation. 

10 years ago, the words Disney and naked would never be seen in the same sentence, but lately the Mickey Mouse corporation publicity department has had it's work cut out glossing over the controversies and perhaps enjoying the heightened exposure (pun intended). 

It seems the line between a publicity stunt and an ooopsie is growing fainter by the day;  as a direct result of the leaked pics, Adrienne's profile has shot into the stratosphere, and by the end of the week everyone is sure to know who The Cheetah Girls are. 

This is when the story takes an interesting turn.  According to hollyscoop.com, the leaked pics were indeed a PR stunt!

Aforementioned hollywood publicist Jonathan Jaxson from JJsdirt.com spilled the details to CBS Atlanta and admitted the nude photo scandal was a PR stunt they planned together that went horribly wrong.

"Last week I was working with Adrienne and we decided to do a little extra publicity for her image. She had her laptop stolen last week at an airport in NYC, we got the police report, but it wasn't good enough. So we decided to juice it up, and what better way to do that than to say that nude pictures could have been stolen from her laptop."

Jaxson added, "She's Disney, so we never thought in a million years the pictures would get out, and what happens? Nude pictures surface...and now I'm instantly her spokesman."

Think we call that Karma, baby.

Others argue that Adrienne at the grand old age of 25 is more Cheetah Woman than Cheetah Girl, but still, at what point does "I'm famous and I'm gonna to take pictures of myself with all my clothes off" start sounding like a bad idea?

Adrienne joins a growing list of teen stars that have endured moments of nudie shame in the past year including Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus.  But judging by Mileys record sales (astronomical) and the success of High School Musical 3 (colossal), the leaked shots have conveniently advanced the stars from teen idols to house hold names.

We wonder if the word dignity is even part of the Hollywood vernacular any more?!  We'll keep you posted.
