Rapper Wanted Over Pap Camera Damage

Everyone's favourite rapper/actor/book store owner is wanted by the law after taking a camera from a photographer and sort of damaging it. It's alleged that Mos Def, aka Dante Terrell, damaged some photographers camera back in August when he ripped it from the guys neck.

While snatching cameras from the paparazzi may sound like typical celebrity behaviour, the Las Vegas police department are crazy with rage over the incident and have now issued an arrest warrant for the rapper. In their mind it constitutes robbery and destruction of property - even though the total bill for repairs amounted to only $200.

What makes this even more farcical is the fact police fully expect the rapper to turn himself in. You known, as opposed to going on the run over a $200 repair bill

In more positive news, the Emmy, Grammy and Golden Globe nominated rapper aims to have his fourth solo album out in February 2009. It's called 'The Ecstatic' and is being preceded by the newly launched single, 'Life in Marvellous Times'. On the acting front, Mos Def recently appeared in 'Be Kind, Rewind' alongside Jack Black. It's just been given a DVD release.
