Pinks Aussie Tour A Huge Success

As the Pink juggernaut continues to roll through Australia, tickets are still selling at a scary pace.  The singer, who is renowned for putting on visually spectacular and unique shows, has sold out shows across the country and promoters are scrambling to add additional dates wherever they can.

While everyone was expecting the tour to be big, Pink is now booked for an unprecedented seven nights at Sydney's Entertainment Centre, seven nights at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and similar kind of deals around the country. Hope she's had her Weeties! We don't know who is buying all these tickets, but it's safe to assume half the country are planning on seeing a show.

As the concerts continue to sell out, sales of Pink's album are also going through the roof. 'Funhouse' has just been released locally and has raced up the charts, snatching the top spot with relative ease.

Pink has sold around 20 million albums since her self-titled debut in 2000, and that number will have jumped another couple of million by year's end. While Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have either had a very public meltdown or become boring and married, Pink has continued to push the pop music envelope.

So just why does Australia love P!nk so much? It could be her no-holds barred 'tude; her disarming frankness on everything from plastic surgery to her busted marrage to motorcross rider Carey Hart; her ability to hilariously call out starlets like Paris Hilton to Jessica Simpson on their 'Stupid Girls' hijinks...

Or it could just be because she's really hot - whatever it is - this tour proves our P!nk love isn't about to wither any time soon!
