Tension is simmering between Kelly Rowland, Beyonce and Bey’s dad, Matthew Knowles, over a row over an old Destiny’s Child tune.
The former DC members – Bey, Kel and Michelle Williams – have reportedly being called to court tomorrow (Dec 8) for a copyright infringement case, accused of stealing their song ’Cater 2 U’.
According to sources from Camp Kel, Ms Rowland is furious: she blames Matthew and to some extent, Beyonce, for what’s happened.
According to insiders, Matthew allegedly made a habit of squeezing a song-writing credit for Beyonce on to every track Destiny’s Child recorded – even when she didn’t actually contribute to the song-writing.
A mole said: "Matthew [Knowles] has a long history of trying to get songwriters to add Beyonce's name to songs she didn't compose, just so she gets publishing royalties.
“That information eventually became widely known, and now anyone who wants to accuse Kelly or Destiny's Child of stealing material has ammunition to file a lawsuit.
“Kelly is livid… She and Beyoncé remained cordial at first. But things have gotten tense since Kelly griped that Matthew is the cause of this lawsuit."
