Uber dedicated screen siren Vanessa Hudgens has undergone a shocking make- under for her latest role as a pregnant teen!
The former ‘High School Musical’ sweetie has shred every inch of her good-girl image to play homeless youngster Agnes ‘Apple’ Bailey in new gritty flick ‘Gimme Shelter.’
And that included swapping her cute outfits for baggy jeans and hoodies, ditching any trace of lippie and chopping off her famous luscious long locks!
"Oh man, it's really intense, I'm still getting used to it," the actress told Access Hollywood of her new look.
"Honestly, I kind of feel like a soccer mom, but we're going to let that go. There's nothing wrong with soccer moms, but I'm only 22! I miss [my hair,] believe me, I do, but there's nothing I can do about it.”
Surely a wig would have been less dramatic? Well, apparently that wasn’t an option for V, who even snubbed a posh hairdresser to lob off the lengths herself!
"I grabbed the scissors and started cutting my actual hair," she added. "Then my director decided that he was going to grab the scissors, and he grabs a chunk of my hair and just chops it."
Meanwhile, the brunette babe has also let slip that she’s back on the market!
Despite being linked to her ‘Journey 2’ co-star Josh Hutcherson recently, she told E! Online,
"It is fun to go look at cute boys. But at the same time, I like being single.”
