Robert Pattinson has RUBBISHED rumours he and Kristen Stewart are in love in a new, joint interview with US glossy, Vanity Fair.
In comments bound to throw “Robsten” lovers into a tail-spin, Rob said the pair are “just good friends” and divulged: “It doesn’t make any difference what you say [to the tabloids]. I’ve literally been across the country from Kristen, and it’s like: ‘Oh, they were on secret dates!’ It’s like: ‘Where? I can’t get out of my hotel room!’”
Meanwhile, K-Stew blasted the relationship rumours, too, saying: “It’s so retarded. We’re characters in this comic book.”
BUT – and it’s a major but – 'Twilight' director Catherine Hardwicke has totally contradicted their comments.
In the same publication, she revealed Rob regularly got drunk in his hotel room while filming and would serenade K-Stew and other cast members with his self-penned guitar ditties – as we reported last month.
The all-seeing Catherine also said: “What Rob and Kristen had is a multitude of feelings for each other…Complex feelings for each other. It was what we needed. Complex, intense fascination.”
Not so retarded, huh?
To any devastated Twi-hards, it’s also worth bearing in mind that the interview took place yonks ago and since then “Robsten” have been papped together at various rock gigs, sharing meals, taxis and generally just getting super-duper cozy.
Oh, you two, you can’t fool us…
