And while there was no end of fab performances – it was the eye-popping outfits that really dominated the event!
And no one knows how to impress in the fashion stakes more than Katy Perry! The wacky songstress started off the night in a pretty pink Badgley Mischka gown, before stripping down to a sexy red catsuit on stage.
Meanwhile, her BFF Rihanna, who bagged the prize for ‘Favourite Soul/R&B Female Artist,’ dazzled in an 80s style lace dress, matched with her new curly red hair.
Also showing off a new do was country pop babe Taylor Swift.
The singer - who scooped the award for ‘Favourite Female Artist – Country’ - swapped her sparkly mini for an all black ensemble to belt out her remix of ‘Back to December’ and ‘Apologise.’
Meanwhile mum-to-be P!nk debuted her growing baby bump, while performing her new single ‘Raise Your Glass’ in a gold jacket, high-waisted pants and black bra.
But it wasn’t just a night for the ladies – Justin Bieber made sure he was the talk of the night by bagging an incredible FOUR awards.
The 16-year-old picked up ‘Artist Of The Year,’ as well as ‘Favourite Breakthrough Artist,’ ‘Favourite Pop/Rock Male Artist’ and ‘Favourite Pop/Rock Album.’
And while the ‘Baby’ singer was stoked about his win – the good news was a little too much for his mentor Usher.
The superstar told The AP, “Having received that award before – it was like an out-of-body experience, you understand?
“It was emotional. I don't cry that often, but I did. Hopefully it gives an indication of how hard we worked to build a career that hopefully will flourish and blossom over the years."
