The rumour mill has been in full swing for some time now over who will be the lucky ones to take to the stage at this year’s ‘Glastonbury Festival!’
And now, after months of anticipation, organisers of the sell-out music event have confirmed Coldplay will make a well-welcomed return as one of the headline acts.
Festival boss Michael Eavis told the Metro of their first performance at the bash since 2005,
“Coldplay have played such a major part in the festival over the last ten years or so. As their popularity grew around the world I was so proud of them.
“This is the triumphant return of a band that everyone here feels part of. They're one of the greatest phenomena to grow from these fields.”
Meanwhile, pop queen Beyoncé will also be swapping her stilettos for gum boots at the five-day event, which notoriously attracts atrocious weather!

"This really is the biggest festival in the world and I cannot wait to perform there," she confirmed in an official press release to The Guardian.
"Everyone who attends is really appreciative of music and is in such a good mood that entire weekend."
Other artists rumoured to take part are U2, who were forced to pull out of their slot in 2010 after frontman Bono injured his back, and the newly reformed Libertines.
