He’s currently all loved-up with actress Jessica Biel – but Justin Timberlake says the road to romance hasn’t been a smooth one!
The popstar, who had a long-term relationship with his childhood sweetheart Britney Spears, said romance has caused him plenty of “pain” in the past.
The 29-year-old confessed to In,
"I fell flat on my face several times. But that's normal. And if you love, you need to be ready for painful experiences."
And the singer-turned-actor, who’s starring in hot new flick ‘The Social Network,’ also snubbed the idea that he’s attracted to women for how they look.
Despite currently dating one of Hollywood's most beautiful moviestars, and boasting a string of stunning exes including Cameron Diaz, he added,
"Looks are subordinate to me. I fall for a woman who has the right attitude to life. I need to be comfortable with her and also be able to trust her."
And while the trousernake star might be famous for his hip-thrusting moves on stage, he says when he’s not performing, he’s not so confident.
"I am actually a really shy guy and like to keep myself to myself. I am not really chatty either,” he said.
