Sam Worthington may be the star of the highest-earning movie ever, but just four years ago the ‘Avatar’ star was struggling to get by.
The Aussie hunk was living out of a broken down car and even auctioned off his wordily possessions.
He tells Details magazine, “My mates came round saying, ‘How much for the kettle?’” he says. “I said ‘Five bucks. Starting at five. Do I hear six? Six? Sold, for five bucks.’”
The actor, who’s now been tipped for massive new roles including ‘James Bond,’ also reveals how he never even considered being on the big screen when he was growing up.
"I'm not a great fan of people who say they put a sheet up in the backyard when they were 7 and entertained all the neighbors.
"When I was 7, I thought I was a fucking fire truck."
But despite his huge success, the former brick layer still sees what he does as just another job.
“Get up in the morning, go to work, make the boss happy.”
