In 2012 we’re bringing you more homegrown talent than ever before!

This year MTV kicks off ‘Local Produce,’ a brand new music initiative aimed at supporting and championing local talent. Each month we’ll showcase one artist, bringing you interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, galleries, music videos and an exclusive performance, available on-air and online for your viewing pleasure!

“Local Produce creates a platform for artists to break away from the pack,” says Rebecca Batties, General Manager, Music & Comedy, MTV Australia & New Zealand.

“[It] carves out a much-deserved space on MTV to crank up the volume and shout about amazing Australian and New Zealand artists.”

And who better to launch the project than a local lad making a big mark on the hip hop scene…

One of Australia’s most talked about up-and-coming artists, Melbourne based rapper 360 is an underground-reared emcee that has transcended the hip-hop genre with his game-changing album ‘Falling & Flying’.

With three tracks featured in this year’s Triple J’s Hottest 100 countdown and his current single ‘Boys Like You’ racing up the ARIA charts, 360 is a rarity, managing to maintain his indie credibility while enjoying mainstream success.

“It’s awesome to get out there, it’s amazing promo” says 360. “It’s really cool, I love it. I’m stoked!”

Head to the Local Produce Hub to find out more about the project and get acquainted with this month’s featured artist 360!
