when his six-time nominated buddy Guy Sebastian
failed to pick up a single award last year – and now Ronan Keating
is hoping the ‘Australian Idol’
winner can turn things around for the 2011 bash!
The former Boyzone star, who said he felt “disgusted” when the ‘Like It Like That’ singer went home empty-handed in 2010, told MTV Australia on the red carpet at the 'Warrior' premiere on Sunday night,
“I really hope Guy gets something this year. He was up for six last year and he got nothing, and I think he’s up for four this year.
“He’s had one of the biggest singles of the past year with ‘Who’s That Girl,’ so I really hope he gets something.”
As well as tipping Guy, who he worked with on the duet ‘All For One,’ the Irish X-Factor judge is also rooting for seven-time nominated Gotye.
“I’m loving Gotye,” Ronan told us.
“I’m just loving his record, it’s my favouirte album at the moment, so I hope he picks something up as well.”
