Lady Gaga
has raised a massive $250,000 for the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The pop superstar, who designed special $5 red and white wristbands for the cause, announced to fans on Twitter,
“Monsters: in just 48 hrs you’ve raised a quarter of a million dollars for Japan Relief. It’s important we help.”
Following the record-breaking 8.9 magnitude quake - which struck northeast Japan last Friday and set off a huge tsunami that has claimed the lives of 3,400 people and left more than 10,000 more missing - celebs across the globe have come together to show their support.
According to contactmusic.com, pop favourites Black Eyed Peas have dedicated their latest music vid to those affected by the disaster.

The band, who were in Japan to film the promo for ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ only a week before the quake struck, have added a special message to the beginning of their new clip saying,
“This video was filmed in Japan one week before the earthquake. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the people of Japan. We love you.”
Meanwhile, rock legend Slash, who was forced to scrap three Japanese shows, including gigs in Tokyo and Yokohama, decided to go ahead with his final one in Osaka this week.

And the former ‘Guns N Roses’ star praised fans for turning out to see him play, despite the horrific events that have taken place.
Taking to his Twitter page, the guitarist wrote,
“Great gig in Osaka tonight. Great spirits despite all that has happened…We’re positively coming back soon to play Tokyo & Yokohama. In the meantime, lots of love to the Japanese fans. U will make it thru these difficult times.” (sic).
Our thoughts and hearts go out to all the victims of Japan’s devastating earthquake and tsunami during this tragic time.
