Rock ledges AC/DC have brought Australia to its knees.

When tickets for the band’s Black Ice tour went on sale today (May 25), phone lines went into meltdown as fans grappled to get their hands on the goodies.

No more than 20 minutes later, every single, last bloody ticket had been snapped up.

The first Perth show on March 6, 2010, sold out in a brow-mopping seven minutes and when a second was added (March 8), they went even quicker - quicker, you could say, than Usain Bolt on a toilet dash.

In Sydney and Melbourne, the first shows sold out in 15 minutes (tardy buggers). Second and third concerts were then added and also sold out immediately. Brissy and Adelaide followed suit.

Promoters are now saying it’s the fastest-selling show ever to hit Australia. (Yes, even quicker than that other home-grown legend Joe “Shaddap You Face” Dolce’s seminal 1981 gigs).

It just shows you, you should never underestimate the power of a middle-aged man in a pair of school boy shorts.
