According to Radar Online, the troubled actress, who’s currently receiving treatment at California’s Betty Ford Center, snuck out to score a coke fix – of the cola variety.
The Hollywood wildchild, and an unnamed patient at the facility - who are banned from having any caffeine at the clinic - allegedly fled to the nearby Eisenhower Medical Centre to buy a fizzy drink from the vending machine.
But unluckily for the mischievous pair - they were caught when Lilo’s new pal got her jumper caught on the fence as they snuck back inside.
A source revealed, "Lindsay and her co-conspirator were forced to give it up and flag down a volunteer, who was crossing the center's grounds on a golf cart.
"The pair was safely returned, decaffeinated, to their hall, were they were the center of a process meeting over what they had done.”
The ‘Mean Girls’ star is serving her fifth stint in rehab after testing positive for cocaine in a recent drug test.
Ahead of entering the US facility last month she confessed, "Substance abuse is a disease which doesn't go away overnight."
