Rihanna is said to be back in contact with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
The ‘Rude Boy’ star, who was assaulted by the singer just before last year’s ‘Grammy Awards,’ reportedly wants to be “friends” with her ex.
The former childhood sweethearts, who’ve not been in touch since the ‘Run It’ star was sentenced to 80 days of community labour and five years probation, have supposedly started speaking to one another over the phone.
A source told Heat magazine, "It's been almost a year since they last spoke, but Rihanna felt like she could try to be friends with Chris again.
"Seeing how emotional he was on set [at the BET Awards] really touched her. She'd never seen him like that before.
“Chris told her that he felt like he's grown up in the past year. He's said he's so happy to be back in touch with her.”
And according to pals of RiRi, she’s even keen to meet up with her ex face-to face – despite his probation which states he must stay at least 100 yards away from the pop princess for five years.
The source adds, "They were each other's first love and he's missed her so much. Rihanna knows that if she wanted him back, he'd be there in a second."
