US hip hopster Akon is learning the hard way that what he does on stage can be held against him. Or better put, what goes on stage, goes off stage... literally.

No stranger to dodgy behaviour with respect to "minors", the Senegalese-American rap artist has already been criticized for simulating sex with a 14 year old fan while in concert in Trinidad (Akon claims he didn't know the girl was underage). "It was never Akon's intention to violate the law," said the singer's lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, during an appearance in court. "This unfortunate incident was a spontaneous reaction during a live concert that Akon deeply

Akon still doesn't know if he'll be Konvicted, but faces imprisonment for up to a year if he is found guilty of the charges. And so, let this be a lesson to all of you. Tossing off on stage is never, ever a good idea.
