To be fair, much of the hubbub could be blamed on excessive (and characteristically Nordically vigorous) safety systems. Akon was reportedly doing a free concert in a Copenhagen shopping mall when a fire alarm went off three performances in.
The police allegedly tried to evacuate, and the crowd went ballistic once they were herded outside. All that fresh winter air caused an eruption of Danish Akon fan frustration, as they threw rocks and bottles at the police. As in Akon's previous concerts, several people were injured in the riot, though at least this time, Akon's own behaviour was impeccable. Indeed, perhaps it was crowd outrage that the rapper neither simulated sex with an underage girl, nor threw people into the audience during his brief appearance, that got their collective underbits in a knot .
More happily for the hooligans however, eight people were arrested following the incident. But at least this time, one of them wasn't Akon.
