The front woman for the Black Eyed Peas, will be bringing her own brand of glamorous ghetto-funk to a role that has previously been filled by pop-rocker, Ashlee Simpson (2006), and heavy metal icons, the Osbournes (at the inaugural AVMAs in 2005).
The April 29 event will be rocking it on a scale never seen before, as many local and international acts head into town to perform, present, and give love to their loyal MTV fans. First amongst these, will be Hollywood hunk, and Emo lust-object, Jared Leto, who'll be performing with his band 30 Seconds To Mars. Speaking of his upcoming trip to Australia for the AVMAs, Leto enthused "It's pretty amazing! We are really looking forward to it. It's an exciting time to come down and perform. We've got a tremendous amount of respect for MTV and Australia, and we think it's going to be a lot of fun."
Given Leto's taste for hot young Hollywood babes, we'll be watching with interest to see if anything develops between him and Laguna Beach's very own man-eater Kristen Cavalleri who'll be making a special guest appearance off her own.
