Local Celebs, industry insiders and VIP guests descended upon the MTV offices for the Call + Response University Tour Launch Event last night.

Hosted by singer-songwriter Justin Dillon, he shared his undercover journey from Cambodia to India - where he teamed up with top musicians including Natasha Bedingfield, Imogen Heap and Moby - to prove there are MORE slaves today than EVER before.

As well as a sneaky peek at his discovery in the one of a kind rockumentary ‘Call + Response,’ we were also surprised with a special acoustic performance from Aussie Idol Stan Walker.

Taking to the stage to perform moving renditions of Beyoncé’s hit ‘Smash Into You’ and Nicole C Mullins’ ‘My Redeemer Lives’ – the popstar told us why he was keen to support the unique initiative.

He said, “Justin called me up and said would you like to be a part of it and I was like, ‘yeah I’m there!’ It’s really important for me to give back whenever I can.”

And after being treated to plenty of Cooper’s beer and tasty Nando chicken snacks, we also learnt what WE can do to help this super awesome cause.

Justin said, “If you could do anything for this movement I’d ask that you show this film to people. Show it to your friends. We need people to know about this and to talk about it. That’s what makes a movement interesting.”
