It’s happy news for long-time singleton Jessica Simpson! The pop princess has announced her engagement to her new beau Eric Johnson.
Just a week after her ex-hubby Nick Lachey announced he’s set to wed Vanessa Minnillo, the singer’s rep told People magazine,
“Yes we are excited to confirm that they are engaged!"
Gushing about her sporting hunk last month, the 30-year-old told People,
"He's the one for me right now!" she said. "I'm very happy! I'm in a great place, and if right now could last forever, I'd take it."
And talking of marriage, fellow popstar Katy Perry has spoken out about being a sexy wife!
The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer, who wed funnyman Russell Brand last month, told the News Of The World, she WON'T turn “boring” now that she’s settled down.
She said, "People tell me, 'Oh, you're gonna be boring now you're married.' I say, 'Look at f**king Beyoncé!' She's married to Jay-Z. She's so sexy but she's a married woman. She absolutely rocks it.
"I won't be less sexy or provocative. I'm a good girl because I believe in love, integrity and respect. I'm a bad girl because I like to tease. I know that I have sex appeal in my deck of cards.”
And while the newly wed is still buzzing from her recent nuptials – wildchild Lindsay Lohan also has something to celebrate.
The troubled actress, who’s currently undergoing her fifth stint in rehab, seems to be making some progress towards getting her career back on track.
According to Radar Online, the ‘Mean Girls’ star has been granted a weekend pass from the Betty Ford Center in California to attend a meeting with Matthew Wilder – the director of her new flick ‘Inferno.’
And while Li-lo’s moving forwards – Justin Bieber’s suffered a minor set back following a gig at Cleveland State University in Ohio.
The teen idol, who hurt himself during a mishap on stage, told fans on Twitter,
“Busted my knee last night in the middle of the show. Not fun. Finished the show with a sweet limp. Knee is swollen today but all good."
