Janet Jackson has disappointed hundreds of Aussie fans after cancelling a gig in Sydney.

Pulling out of her appearance at the Opera House on Sunday night just minutes before the show was due to start, a statement on the singer’s official website read,

“It is with regret that Dainty Group announces that tonight's Janet Jackson Number Ones: Up Close and Personal concert at the Sydney Opera House cannot proceed.

“Doctors have ordered Miss Jackson to undertake vocal rest for the next 2 days, so she can complete the 3rd and final show of her Australian tour, this Tuesday night at the Sydney Opera House.”

The news comes just a week after the Grammy Award winner postponed her tour Down Under to return to America to support her family during the trial of her late brother Michael’s doctor Conrad Murray.

Unfortunately – no replacement concert has been scheduled, but concert goers have been promised a full refund.
