They’re one of the world’s biggest bands, they've sat at the top of the ARIA singles chart for the last 10 weeks, have bagged # 1s all over the globe – and now Black Eyed Peas’ frontman, will.i.am, says it’s all thanks to Australia.

The ’Boom Boom Pow’ songsmith says it was the Aussie club scene that inspired the four-piece’s banging, new sound on album, ’The E.N.D’.

He explained: “The whole record was inspired by Australia. I was in Sydney filming 'X-Men' in February of last year and while I was there I asked my homeboy Hugo, 'Yo Hugo where's the clubs at?' He was like, 'What kinda clubs you wanna go to brother?' and I was like, 'Some hip hop clubs'”

He continued: "He took me to these electro clubs. I met The Cookers while I was there and then I went to Future Music Festival and was blown away. I met The Presets and I was blown away, I met Cut Copy and I was blown away. I was blown away by Australia."

We think he likes it…
