Tonight’s Vodafone MTVAAs had more stars than a ship-load of Aussie flags!

Their history might be rockier than J.Lo's jewellery box but tonight Wolfmother proved they're back - with added teeth.

The new look gang, fronted by original member Andrew Stockdale, brought the Vodafone MTVAAs to a growlingly good close performing new tune...

And fresh members - guitarist Aidan Nemth, bassist and keyboardist Ian Peres and drummer Dave Atkins - looked right at home rocking HARD with a spectacular riff-out.

The performance has left us at MTV in a pool of our own dribble awaiting the new album later in the year! Nice work, boys.

Meanwhile, Fall Out Boy battler Pete Wentz brought his gorgeous wife Ashlee Simpson out to help him on presenting duties. And didn’t they look cute? Even though Ash did tower over hubby in ankle-breaking platform stilettos.

Meanwhile motorbike hero/mentalist Robbie Maddison joined the fun and left his wheels at home, leaving the excited audience’s nerves in tact.

Adelaide songbird Sia left fans agog with a glow-in-the-dark costume and dance routine. And she must have been gargling on the Lemsip all of last night as we heard on the grapevine yesterday that she was suffering from a strained throat. But no sign of that tonight.

A close second in the dress-up category was Kiwi chuckle-meister Rhys Darby. The Flight Of The Conchords funny man turned up in a kiwi bird-cum-kiwi fruit ensemble. See what he did there?

Elsewhere, sop-rockers The Fray got eyes watering while pint-sized Welsh wonder Duffy looked cute as she announced Pink as Best Video winner.
