The ‘If I Were A Boy’ singer was asked recently whether she was on Facebook and replied: "Not really. I like to call people or have dinner.”
She’s also reluctant to jump on Twitter band wagon stating, “I feel like I'm getting really old. I'm like, what? I don't understand. Just call me."
Beyonce may be a bit behind when it comes to new fandangled technology, but her sister, Solange Knowles, is an avid fan of Twitter with 96 000 followers.
“My sister is the Twitter queen. She told me about the twittering, but I don't get it.”
But B isn’t the only old fashioned celeb not feeling the new social networking craze. T.I also admitted last week that twitter is not his ‘swag’.
T.I. appeared on YouTube.com over the weekend with the ATL Hustlers, who tried to get the reluctant rapper up to speed on the latest internet sensation.
While he did check it out, the rapper says Twitter just ain't his style.
"It's not my swag. I'm an old fashion type of dude," he said in the clip. "I'll write you a letter and hand you a picture, let 'em fly it to you. Put you a letter in a box, floating to your side of the country.
"I ain't on the computer sh**. [Twitter is] not for me. No offense to those who do it. Twit on playa. People got the king, just not on Twitter," he continued.
On the other end of the spectrum, Twitter has been keeping other A listers’ right thumbs well fit – MTV.com News recently reported that Ashton Kushter has taken the micro blogging site to new heights, by becoming the first person to reach 1 million followers after a well documented battle with CNN.
Seems like more interested in Demi Moore’s ass than the global financial crisis than first thought. The mind boggles!
While on the topic of 21st century communication, Beyonce also took a stab YouTube. The starlet, who is the process of preparing for her upcoming tour, says she finds it "frustrating" that people will be able to get a sneak preview of her tour.
"You put so much of your heart and time into the wardrobe," she said. "And then it's kind of unfortunate that people can see the show months before you get in to their city.”
But, she B admits it is something musicians and artists will have to adapt to, saying, "that's life, it's how we live now, it's all very different."
The singer has promised that her I AM world tour will be "very theatrical" and "grand".
The Bootylicious star will arrive down under to tour her wares in September.
