Indie rock legends The Black Keys have been added to the list of performers for the ‘2012 MTV Movie Awards.’

According to MTV News, the band will be performing their hit single ‘Gold on the Ceiling,’ which is a track from their seventh studio album ‘El Camino.’

Also taking to the stage will be MTV Push artist Martin Solveig. The House DJ, famous for remixing themes from iconic films such as ‘Star Wars,’ ‘Jaws’ and ‘Pulp Fiction,’ says that he jumped at the opportunity to perform.

"I am both a movie freak and a guy who enjoys mixing music and image to give his videos a cinematographic feel. It's only natural that I jumped at the chance of performing at the ‘MTV Movie Awards’ when they offered me the opportunity,” the DJ told MTV News.

Martin and the Keys will join rapper Wiz Khalifa and Fun to perform this year’s the star studded ceremony.

While Emma Stone, Adam Sandler, Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey will be some of the Hollywood stars handing out Golden Popcorns, and exclusive footage from the highly anticipated new Batman flick ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ will also be shown at this year’s event.

Don’t miss all the action at the ‘2012 MTV Movie Awards,’ broadcast live on MTV Australia from LA’s Gibson Amphitheatre on Monday June 4 @ 11am (1pm for NZ).
