They went on hiatus just over a year ago to focus on various solo projects, but are The Killers missing each other more than they’re letting on? If recent events are anything to go by, then yes!

Brandon Flowers was midway through his set of solo material from his recent album ‘Flamingo’ when he announced to the delighted crowd that he’d be joined on stage by a special guest…

“So I play in a band called The Killers and I found one of them backstage. He's a handsome man and a better bassist,” he said as he introduced Killers bassist Mike Stoermer to the stage.

Mike and Brandon then played a version of ‘Read My Mind’ before he left the stage. Brandon also played a reworked version of ‘Mr Brightside’ with the crowd singing every word.

Meanwhile across the Atlantic, London fans got a real treat when Dead Weather duo Jack White and Alison Mosshart were joined on-stage by Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones for a surprise all star gig!

The trio played as special guests of Seasick Steve as part of his headlining slot at the iTunes Festival in Camden. Jack, who is best known for his time with the White Stripes, recently released Seasick Steve's latest album 'You Can't Teach An Old Dog New Tricks' on his label Third Man Records.
