We all know Rihanna likes to have a good time – but when it came to turning 24 this week, sadly she couldn’t have her ‘Birthday Cake’ and eat it!
Instead of partying up a storm to celebrate the milestone, the newly blonde popstar spent all night working!
Using the time to rehearse for her performance at the Brit Awards and to focus on making new music, she told her fans on Twitter,
"Brit rehearsal went smoove (sic)! Next stop, set up studio in a hotel room! I'll be turning 24 making mu$ic!!!
"I can't believe I'm pullin an all nighter on my BDAY!!! Only for the (fans) tho! Got rehearsal in like 2 hrs."
But don’t feel too sorry for the ‘We Found Love’ singer – after all she did spent the entire weekend letting loose in London!
And while rumours continue to swirl about a new collaboration with her ex Chris Brown – the hitmaker has publicly sent his former flame his best wishes for her special day.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN!" he tweeted, referring to her real name Robyn Fenty. To which RiRi replied, “Thanks!”
