There have been plenty of hardships along the way, but the best ship is friendship!
How are you preparing for the big battle-off?
The melodic duo are continuing their Bikram yoga regime whilst the rhythmic section pursues Muay Thai.
How do you interest potential fans that haven’t seen you play yet?

Tell us how Hot Little Hands formed?
'Twas the Summer of 2005, Tim, Jane and James Harvey along with Ralph Hammond and Royce Akers decided over a throw of the Frisbee in the park that it was time bust out of the garage and into the world.
What do you think a competition like uncharTED offers musicians in Australia?
Opportunity to kick-start careers with media exposure, a good slab of money to put towards promo, great opportunities to network and play high profile gigs such as Splendour (it wouldn’t look too shabby on your resume).
How are you preparing for the big battle-off?
Matching our socks and undies will be our key.
What is your back up plan if you don’t happen to be the lucky one to be heading up to Byron Bay?
Yeah we’ve got a really exciting Ozzie and Japan tour to celebrate our latest single and album release just after Splendour, so hopefully all the publicity from uncharTED will help promote it all to the max.
FOXX ON FIRE
How & when did your band form?
In 2006 we witnessed a John Foxx gig in Leeds, and were so inspired we decided to start a band that sounded nothing like him.
Musical influences?
David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Brian Eno, Roxy Ferry, Hawkwind, Spacemen 3, The Flaming Lips, Vanilla Fudge.
How has the uncharTED journey been for thus you?
I think the correct way to summarise how we have been feeling during the course of the uncharTED competition is overwhelmed. It seems to be moving a rapid pace, whilst we have been feeding all our energy into this comp we have also been writing and recording for our EP. Ed is in the midst of making a film and Paul has been working on his thesis. So our outlook has not only been can we win this comp, but how can we fit so much into so little time?
How are you preparing for the big battle-off?
We have just sent James our bass player off to the remote mountains of Tibet to search for our spiritual leader Rama Gorecki-Onishima and ask him for the answers of how to win the final battle.
What would it mean to you to play at an iconic event like Splendour In The Grass?
Well tickets are completely sold out, so it’s the only way we’re going to be able to go. We’re actually kind of banking on it!
