The peroxide-coiffed singer, who admits he has no idea if AWOL band mate Nick Littlemore will ever return, said: “I just did some sessions in a studio in Adelaide with my live band. We’ve done about 15 tracks.
“But I was talking to our publisher and I was like: ‘You know, maybe Empire Of The Sun is just one album?’”
Nooooo?
And yet, the Steele admits what EOTS have is pretty special - so perhaps there’s still hope?
He added: “We have a rare chemistry. I spent a year travelling the world in 2003 and all I wanted was to meet the girl of my dreams and I never did.
“The week I got back I met my wife in a hotel. When [EOTS] got signed, it felt like that. It was just chemistry - God introduces people.”
Note to Nick Littlemore: Come back!
